We are currently looking for expert craftsmen for the following roles:
FITTING JOINERS
We have position available for a time served professional sash window refurbishment joiner. The team you will be joining is dedicated to perfection, our standards are high and so are the benefits we offer to our employees.
If you want to restore houses back to their original appearance both inside and out, a career with Edinburgh Sash and Case could be the best move you could make. The ideal candidate would stay within the Edinburgh area. You must be a time served joiner with site experience in the overhaul and refurbishment of timber sash and case windows, ie removing and replacing rotten timber sills, draught proofing, mastic pointing etc.
Please do not apply unless you have carried out this type of work before. We are looking for an individual who can work on domestic refurbishment projects by themselves, as well as work with our installation teams on joinery finishing work when required. You must be confident in your ability to take accurate sizes for new sashes, casements, glass etc.
Excellent pay is offered for the right candidate. In addition you will have the use of a company vehicle. All applicants will be asked to work on current projects to assess their skill, and an allowance will be paid for your time. A driving licence is essential. Only capable, dependable and enthusiastic individuals need apply.
PAINTERS/DECORATORS
Positions available for painters – ideally City & Guilds qualified and time served. Ideally you will stay within the Edinburgh area. You will be joining a team of expert craftsmen who restore our clients’ windows to their original appearance both inside and out.
Ideally you will have some experience in preparing and painting refurbished timber sash and case windows. Excellent preparation and meticulous attention to detail is required to complete the restoration process and as painting is the last part of a project, the standard of your work reflects across the whole job – your attitude to the client and their property make a lasting impression.
We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of excellent preparation, are tidy in the way they work and able to relate to customers in a professional and personable way. WOOD MACHINISTS
Position available for a time served professional wood machinist / bench joiner, who must be experienced in manufacturing sash and case windows from start to finish. Tasks will include breaking out mouldings on a roller-fed spindle moulder, operating tenon machines, assembly and glueing up of sashes ready for installation.
