Replacement sashes – Regent Terrace

We undertook a large sash window renovation on some of the neighbouring properties on Regent Terrace, at the turn of the year (see case studies).
On this Grade “A” listed property next to Calton Hill, the original windows had been converted to 2 over 2 style and the casements were in fairly poor condition.
We renovated the original sash window casements, and renewed all the pointing to ensure no weather could penetrate the building. We manufactured and fitted new sashes, returning them back to the distinctive 6 over 9 style.
At over 3 metres tall, these windows are among the larger sized ones in Edinburgh, offering fantastic views over Arthurs Seat.
“It is unusual to have such skilled craftsmen at work. Both the joiners and the painter (who was meticulous in his work) were excellent, very helpful and a pleasure to have around. I am a very satisfied customer.”

One of the above is Double Glazed - Which one? The window on the right is a 14mm slim line double glazed unit with a 27mm astrical. Split down the middle into a
2 over 2 with a 'through' astrigal making four individual double glazed units.
