Just had two windows refurbished by Scott and Daniel, two joiners fro Edinburgh Sash and Case. I’m absolutely delighted with their work. They take real pride in what they do. They’re lovey lads too. Nothing was too much trouble.

We had 11 new windows installed at the tail end of last year. Our main joiner was Kevin, supported later in the job by Daniel, who were great- they were also extremely neat, clearing up at the end of every day. After they were finished, the painters led by Gary Miller came in and ensured a great finish.
The process was, for us, very straightforward. Communications went well and the job started on the date agreed.
We are delighted with the results- after living here for 30 years, we can feel the real difference in warmth in the house.

We upgraded our windows in October 2024, to double glazed timber sash and case with astragals. The job was done in line with the agreed timelines. Kevin and Scott installed the windows. They looked after the property, protecting the floors and furniture, and kept the work areas neat and tidy throughout. Sean came in to add the final coats of paint. Their work was of very good quality, and they were friendly. In the last couple of weeks, we've lived through a huge storm (Storm Eowyn) with gusts around 80mph, and it really helped us to see the difference compared to our old (single-glazed, PVC) windows.

Kevin and Daniel have done a brilliant job fitting new double glazed sash and case windows, I would highly recommend Edinburgh Sash and Case to anyone looking to upgrade their windows!

Communication via the office was great very understanding of all my questions and happy to advice if I was in doubt of best option to suit my needs.

The installation was quick and efficient, a window per day per person, with minimal mess. The joiners Jordan & Jack arrived on time every day, they went above and beyond at every point.

Once all the new windows had finished being installed the magic happen in the form of Joe the painter, I could not have asked for a more professional, clean and incredibly job to have been completed.

I could not be happy with the end result and the expirance as a whole, every person I interacted with is a credit to Edinburgh Sash & Case.

The process from initial quote to install took more than 5 months (for 2 windows) due to the time needed to get permission for a listed building and the wait time to manufacture the windows but the process was handled seamlessly by Edinburgh Sash and Case. We were really impressed by Chris’ joinery work and the office team were helpful and responsive. Pawel explained what to do to ensure the paint dried properly so that the windows don’t stick. Overall thrilled with the end result!

Just had Kevin and Daniel in today to fit a new PVC sash and case window. Both boys were lovely, very professional and efficient. Their workmanship and attention to detail was fantastic. I’d used Edinburgh Sash and Case before for a straightforward job. This time, several joiners said they wouldn’t or couldn’t replace my bay windows and restore the woodwork to match the original features (period house). Other firms quoted me ridiculous prices. Edinburgh Sash n Case were brilliant. Kevin and Daniel managed to replace all the curved woodwork, the windows and fixtures were perfect, the shutters were carefully removed and replaced with new frames. Honestly, I can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’re worried about paying a deposit as I was, don’t be, these guys are so professional. Kevin and Daniel really respected my house, were never a bother and cleaned up so well afterwards. I’m so pleased with the end result as the finish and craftsmanship was fantastic. We’ve just had our dormer and three single-glazed sash windows replaced and upgraded to double-glazed by Edinburgh Sash and Case. We’re really pleased with the result and the house is now cozy and quiet, and the windows look great. The joiners (Innes and Ben) and the painter (Ken) were outstanding. They were professional, friendly, always on time and left the house tidy at the end of each day. All three are truly skilled and knowledgeable craftsmen.
The company manages the whole process including submission to the council for planning consent, measuring up and manufacture of the windows.
The office team of Danielle and Chantelle are efficient with great comms, scheduling and explaining how the works will be carried out.

Edinburgh Sash and Case manufactured and installed three sets of double glazed sash and case windows to our Georgian house in Central Edinburgh back in 2020. They also manufactured and fitted new window shutters for one window to match those in the rest of the house and they renovated all shutters throughout the building. All excellent work and efficiently done, setting the date for the service and keeping me informed when things needed to change. Aftersales service was most impressive: when I go in touch a couple of years later to report a misting of one of the double glazed panes, they replaced the defect the very next day.

Now we have had another three double glazed sashes fitted by Jordan and Micheal. Very efficient and done earlier than originally planned. The painting was done by Derek a day after the windows were fitted and he came back a day or two after he had finished to make sure all the sashes operated smoothly. This is service I have never had from a decorator, most of whom would happily leave you to deal with windows that are painted shut or - worse - stuck open.

Absolutely fantastic workmanship from the two joiners Kevin and Craig, carried out on a property in Heriot Row, Edinburgh. Clean, tidy and attention to detail were excellent. The two painters Gary and Stevie then continued the high standard that had been set before them A+. It’s very easy as a customer to complain, but these four individuals deserve all the credit for completing a job that certainly had its challenges.

I can highly recommend Edinburgh Sash and Case: James, Jordan and Daniel did a great job replacing some very large astragalled windows with new double glazed ones. The windows themselves are perfect replicas of the old ones but much more draught proof. Gary and Stevie (Almond painters) have made an excellent job of painting them, All are moving freely. Everyone involved was very helpful and accommodating, and cleared up very thoroughly.

Just had Edinburgh Sash and Case replace five large sash windows with new double-glazed units. Across just two weeks, James and Jordan removed the old windows and fitted the new (all from the inside on the first floor) and Gary and Stevie from Almond Decorators painted them up beautifully. Everyone was very accommodating and the work was managed around us with minimal disruption and mess. The job was scheduled back in April to start in July and it started and completed on time. Could not ask for much more!

Kevin and Chris did a superb job of fitting secondary glazing in my Victorian tenement flat. Done and dusted in a day, the windows work really well and the sound insulation is fantastic. I stay on one of the noisiest streets in Edinburgh and I can hardly hear a thing now when the windows are closed. Thanks guys, you've saved my sanity!

They're not the cheapest on the market, but you most definitely do get what you pay for. Very highly recommended, and would definitely use them again.

Chris, Gary and the team did a great job with refurbishing the wooden sash and case windows in our tenement flat. It has made a huge improvement to the property and the team were easy to work with. There were some issues with the final finish, which took a few visits to get resolved, but these were fixed, and we are very happy with the final result.

We had Edinburgh Sash and Case organize the painting of the five double-glazed sash and case windows they installed for us some years ago. Sean was excellent - friendly, professional, did an excellent job, and was very helpful in answering questions, and dealing with any issues. We recommend him highly.

Very poor experience with Edinburgh Sash and Case when it comes to resolving issues. After fitting we had to battle with them to get snagging issues resolved and now we're further down the line they are trying to charge us for issues that should be covered under their guarantee. They clearly had very little or no experience of using Accoya timber when they installed our windows as they failed to seal the timber correctly and used unsuitable hardware & fixings. As a result we have windows we can no longer open due to corrosion in the locking hardware. They have now stopped replying to emails and refuse to return calls. Very disappointing behaviour from what is meant to be a reputable company.

I have just had done the renovation and painting of 13 windows of my Edinburgh house by Edinburgh Sash and Case. An expert team of two joiners and two painters transformed them from their rotting peeling state to the objects of wonder that are astragal windows. The house is transformed and all this in two and a half weeks. The men were not just expert in their trades. They cleaned up each and every day and were lovely and friendly from start to finish. They worked so hard and so carefully throughout and I didn’t have to do a thing. This is the company you need for work on the renovation of windows, especially for listed buildings. Brilliant job. I recommend them without reservation and would award them more than 5 stars if I could.
