I was delighted to welcome Edinburgh Sash & Case back to my home to complete the window renovation. This year was particularly difficult due to health problems in my family but Sash and Case pulled out all the stops for us. Particular thanks go to Alan from the workshop who came out himself to measure up and check how they could reduce work on site. Adam was amazing, as always, and Craig painted them beautifully always ensuring I could open and close them. And thank you to Chantelle and Danielle in the office who organised everything to perfection.

Chris has a great eye for detail, even matching the mastic colour to the brickwork. The windows look like they’ve always been there because Ken did such a great paint job. Extra special thanks to Alan for all the care he took to ensure no damage to the broadband wire that ran under the lounge window.

It is increasingly rare to come across tradespeople who combine traditional skills with such obvious pride in their workmanship. Chris is very much one of those craftsmen. S&C did a great job. Their staff were professional and friendly. The windows are over ten foot high and a hundred and twenty years old so it was quite a job. They refurbished, painted and installed secondary glazing. Despite the size it whispers open and closed, and the easy clean system is still fully usable. I'm very pleased.

The service we had was excellent to replace our 150 year old single glazed windows with modern double glazing. The initial measurements and evaluation noted that the cases were in good shape and did not need replacement. The planning permission was submitted on our behalf and obtained within a few weeks. The work was fitted inline with mid summer weather conditions that proved a real bonus. The removal of the 9 old windows and fitting of the new ones was a two man operation. James and his fellow joiner showed great professionalism and stuck to the task which only took 4 days. Chantelle at HQ managed to schedule the painting to start the following day and under the leadership of Pavel this was a super job that only took 3.5 days. Again the work ethic and skill level was superb including refitting the blinds and completing a clean up afterwards. Although we are still in summer and can’t test the heat retention of the new windows yet, we have noticed that road noise is greatly diminished. All in all we are very satisfied with the operations and outcome and highly recommend the work of Edinburgh Sash and Case.

Window Repair and Maintenance Avoid this company. They require full payment upfront, subcontract the work, and deny responsibility when problems arise. I paid a large bill and still had to hire another contractor to complete the repairs.

My wife and I were pleased by the work done on our listed flat (a complete refit of all the windows). Sash & Case were professional and proficient, including prompt follow up on a few minor snags. But it was Almond Decorators who impressed us most. Gary Miller was a delight: personable, prompt and reliable. Outstanding work that matched that of the Historic Scotland painter who decorated out flat several years ago. When tradesmen are in one's flat for more than a week, it is crucial that their personalities match their skills. Gary Miller is exemplary in that regard.

Very professional company! Hired them to get necessary approvals to manufacture & install 3 sash & case windows in 'B' listed building in a heritage conservation area. Adam was highly skilled and Ken did great job on painting. Traffic noise much reduced, drafts eliminated. Looking forward to cheaper heating bills this winter. Very efficient back office. We had our windows installed just before Christmas and I still can't believe we now have double glazed windows in our 17th Century home. I think the biggest challenge for Edinburgh Sash & Case was to get the planning permission from Fife Council but they got it and we had the work done. We now have 5 beautifully fitted, 'working', windows at the front of the house. They did a great job in two weeks from fitting to completing the paint job. We had a problem with a cord that had frayed but it was replaced immediately. Thank you Edinburgh Sash and Case for a job well done. Absolutely delighted.

We had 20 sash windows replaced and all of the cases refurbished in a B-listed building so this was a big job, the company was great to deal with and the entire team were respectful in our home, clear about what they were doing and did a fantastic job. We ordered a new front door made from accoya wood, with an integrated double glazed narrow window light. The standard of the door is fantastic and we were equally impressed by the installation also. They look lovely, and Gary from Almond Decorators did a great job painting in the colour we wanted and advising what paint to use on the outside to ensure that they were weather proofed.
